Tube Bar (album)
Tube Bar (Album)
Tube Bar is a prank call comedy album by the Bum Bar Bastards. After the Tube Bar Bootleg Tape was published by TeenBeat Records in 1988, the creators Jim Davidson and John Elmo came forward and released their first official release with the now-defunct Detonator Records in 1993.[1][2] [3] The album features their prank calls to Louis "Red" Deutsch at the Tube Bar.
Reportedly due to a breach of contract and copyright debates, the Bum Bar Bastards had a falling out with Detonator. In 2001 Laugh.com released a reprint of the Detonator CD and in 2007 T.A. Productions.[4] released a modified version licensed from the Bum Bar Bastards that featured new remastering and splitting the tracks into parts. The 2007 release is the same as Tube Bar Collector's Edition Disc 1.
